Jack H. Dolby, 88, of Pocomoke City departed this life on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Born December 8, 1926, he was a son of the late Frank and Dolly Dolby. He was preceded in death by his brother, Brooks and a son-in-law, Will Watson. Jack is survived by one son, Robert H. Dolby and his wife Mary Jane of Pocomoke; two daughters, Linda Mason and her husband C.J. of Georgetown, DE, and Diane Watson of Salisbury; seven grandchildren, Stacy and Rob Dolby, Tammy Hearne Hauck, Billy Hearne, Melody Southard, Sheila Hill, and Andy Mason; 10 great grandchildren and a brother, Harvey, of Delaware. After graduating from high school in Delaware, Jack enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1944-1946. He attended the University of Delaware and Salisbury State where he received his teaching degree He retired from teaching after 27 years at Pocomoke High School in the Industrial Arts Department. Jack was a member of several organizations, including the Pocomoke Elks, Ducks Unlimited, Pocomoke Fair Harness Racing Official, Paddock and Associate Judge at Ocean Downs. He owned, trained and raced harness horses for 21 years, Jack was also an avid hunter who enjoyed the outdoors, farming and being on the Chesapeake Bay. The Pocomoke Elks will conduct a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O.
