Louise W. Moore, affectionately known as Miss Mimi, 94, of Salisbury, died on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Harrison Senior Living of Snow Hill. She was born in Oakland, MD on May 24, 1920. Miss Mimi was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Salisbury. In 1946, she opened Tiny Tot Nursery, the first daycare center in Salisbury, which she ran for 54 years. The welfare of the children she cared for was always on her mind. Mimi dedicated her life to her family and children. She loved writing music, playing the piano and crafting. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thurman G. Moore. Miss Mimi is survived by two children, Ann Stevens and her husband Jim of Salisbury and Thurman A. Moore and his wife Phyllis of Arcadia, FL; three grandchildren, Susan, Jennifer and Holly; five great-grandchildren, Thomas, Josh, Abbie, Maddie and Luke who loved her dearly; a special sister, Dinah and other family members. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Salisbury. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Parker Building Nursery Fund.
