Eunice Geneva White Hayward, 80, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at her residence. Born in Pittsville, she was the daughter of the late John Maurice White and Mildred Florence Elliott White Bowden. She had previously worked for Manhatten Shirt Factory, Kirk Pewter and retired from Acme Markets. Every summer she looked forward to eating steamed crabs. Her hobbies included bingo and playing cards. Eunice loved cooking for family and friends she will be greatly missed. She is survived by two children, William A. “Bill” Shockley and his wife, Jealyn and Carolyn Malcom and her husband, Bruce, all of Salisbury; two grandchildren, Lisa Ross-Rains and her husband, Spencer and Robert Shockley; four great grandchildren, including, Gaby Ross; several step-children, including Gene and Bernard Hayward, step grandchildren, including Kim Riggin and her husband Roy and Mike Hayward and his wife Danielle; step great grandchildren and nieces; and her pet dog, “Muffin”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Wilford “Lonnie” Hayward, a step-son and step-grandson, Andrew Hayward. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury with Rev. Howard Travers officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations made be made to Halo Ministries, 701 Snow Hill Rd., Salisbury, MD 21804.
