Norma Lea Culp, 78, of Fruitland passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Hospice at the Lake surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Salisbury she was the daughter of the late Lester Goslee and Mary Katherine Goslee Hayes. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Frank and Lilly Bailey of Hebron.
Norma Lea was the last graduating class of Hebron High School. She enjoyed camping, yard sales, crafting. Norma Lea never met a stranger and fondly referred to everyone as “Sugar” and she loved to spend her time talking to anyone and everyone. She was a beloved wife and mother. She was a member of Parkway Church of God and was a member of the Sunshine group at the church and loved to spread the “Sun Shine.” She was a member of the Democratic Club and the Women of the Moose.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Roy Philip Culp; son, Wayne Philip Culp and his wife, Valerie Faye Foxwell Culp of Princess Anne; sisters, Doris Bounds, Rebecca Ennis both of Salisbury, Lilly Mae Bell of Fruitland and Mary Jane Phillips of Pittsville and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 11:00 am at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 6-8 pm and Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Springhill Memory Gardens. Pastor Creig Morris will officiate.
