June Bennett Tyler, 80, of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Sarah Margaret & Mollies Assisted Living. Born in Radnar Heights, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles R. Bennett and Jenny Mumford Bennett. She was a member of the Elks Lodge Auxiliary. She assisted her late husband in his sales business for many years. She enjoyed her time at her flea market booth at Bargain Bill’s for many years. She loved crossword puzzles, gardening, camping, duck pin bowling and especially her pet cats. June is survived by 2 children, Joan Lee Darby and husband, Preston of Salisbury and Bruce James Tyler and wife, Marion of San Antonio, TX; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Atkins and wife, Jessica and Crystal Watkins and husband, Jeffrey, all of Salisbury; 2 great grandchildren, Luke and Chase Atkins; a sister, Linda Rogers and husband, Will of Harborton, VA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a husband, Preston James Tyler and a sister, Sarah Crowley. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
