Timothy Willard Simpson, 24, passed away following complications from surgery at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury on Monday, March 25, 2015. Born July 17, 1990 in Salisbury, MD, he was the son of Timothy William Simpson and his “adopted mother” Kathy Thompson. Timmy graduated from Cedar Chapel Special School in Snow Hill, MD and he loved all that lovingly cared for him there. Timmy is survived by his devoted father, Timothy William Simpson and his partner, Kathy Thompson, who was no less than a mother to him; grandparents Tex and Mary Simpson of Princess Anne; Grandma Shirley of Pocomoke City; step brother; step sister; his birth mother and two sisters; several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members, who provided strength and comfort through difficult times. His family and loved ones will hold a Celebration of Timmy’s Life on Saturday, May 30 from 1:00 to 4:30 PM at the Log Cabin, at the end of Winter Quarters Drive on the Pocomoke River in Pocomoke City, MD. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the staff in the I.C.U. at PRMC and especially to his nurses who were his “Mommas”.
