Eleanor “Ruth” Watson, 63, of Snow Hill, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loved ones. Born August 8, 1951, she was one of ten children born to the late Lester Elmer Heiser and the late Mary Louise Zueger Heiser. Following graduation from Snow Hill High School, Ruth worked for the State of Maryland Assessment Office in Snow Hill for many years prior to an early medical retirement. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert “Michael” Watson of Snow Hill; one son Bobby Watson (Lori); two grandsons, Christopher Watson and Matthew Watson all of Pocomoke City; seven siblings, William Heiser (Joyce), Florence Clarke (Jim), Margaret Ann Phillips (Eddie), Martin Heiser (Shirley) and Kenny Heiser (Donna) all of Snow Hill, Emily Bradford of Atlantic, VA and Dorothy Brittingham ((Dale) of Sign Post, VA; a sister-in-law who was more like a sister, Becky Gibbons (Doug) of Snow Hill and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Robert Zueger and Charles Heiser. Family and friends will gather Friday, March 20, 2015 at Spence Baptist Church from 10 – 11 AM and a memorial service, officiated by Rev. Ken Elligson, will be begin at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802 or to the Spence Baptist Church, 7603 Spence Church Road, Snow Hill, MD 21863.
