Gary Lee Davis, Sr., 59, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Robert Otis Davis, Sr. and Geneva Mae Wingate Davis and the father of the late James A. Jones, III. Gary was a professional artist having worked in outdoor advertising for a large majority of his life. He loved NASCAR, family barbeques, building and flying model airplanes and riding the back roads with his wife. He enjoyed spending time in his “man-cave” making memories with friends and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Anna Jean Somers Davis; 3 children, Michelle Lynn Davis-Hardy and husband, Audielicious of Elizabethtown, PA and Gary Lee Davis, Jr. and wife, Kandi of Rhodesdale Alicia Marie Schultz and husband, Craig of Salisbury; 12 grandchildren, Caitlyn and wife, Lane, Alan, Rachael, Dylan, Tyler, Madison, Corey, McKenzie, Brooke, Lya, Danielle and Morgan; siblings, Shelia Layfield of Salisbury, Jerry Davis of Laurel, DE, Jr. Davis and wife, Tammy of Fruitland and Trisha Gauntt and husband, Raymond and Roni Lane, all of Salisbury; and wonderful friends and extended family, Amy Jones, Mindy Hill and Charlie Jones and his wife, Julie, all of Salisbury. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Wicomico Memorial Park. Rev. Dr. William L. Warren, Jr. will officiate.
