Wilson Taylor Callaway, 74, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Coastal Hospice At The Lake. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late James Wilson Callaway and Sarah Elizabeth Truitt Timmons. Wilson served in the Maryland National Guard during the 60’s. He worked for Vernon Powell Shoes in Salisbury for many years prior to moving to AZ. He returned to Salisbury in 2005 after retiring. He was an avid tennis player in his earlier years, and loved sports, especially wrestling. He is survived by a daughter, Bobbie Ann Callaway of Chandler, AZ; 2 grandchildren, Desirae Dominguez and Taylor Howard ; a great granddaughter, Brianna Dominguez; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Ann Groton and husband, Richard of Salisbury and Joyce Carolyn Collins and husband, Ron of Seaford; many nieces and nephews; and many friends at Lakeside Assisted Living. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Moore Callaway in 1999 and his pet dog, “Benji”. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury with Pastor Jon Sutton officiating.
