William Morris

William James Morris of Salisbury died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at his home. Born on March 6, 1927 in Bloxom, Virginia he was the son of the late William K. Morris and Myrtle Taylor Morris. Mr. Morris was a WW II veteran serving in the Merchant Marines. He had a passion for boating. He is survived by one sister, Peggy Graef of North East Maryland and a long term companion Pat Shockley; mother of his children, Betty Morris; four children, David Morris (Barbara) of Princess Anne, Dean Morris of Salisbury, Karen Bullock (Michael) of Harrington, DE and Candy Pitts (Charles) of Greensboro, MD; four grandchildren, Ann Marie Busker, Brittany Heartlove, Michelle Bullock and Chad Pitts; one great grandchild, Karley Busker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Ada M. Fisher. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Liberty Cemetery in Parksley, Virginia. Contributions may be made in his memory to Parksley Volunteer Fire Department, 18431 Dunne Ave, Parksley, VA 23421.
