Doris Josephine Olsen, 92, passed away peacefully at home in Pocomoke City on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Born November 16, 1921 in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wellinger. She was a member of the American Legion Women Auxiliary, Post #93, Pocomoke Women’s Garden Club a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Ocean City, MD. Doris graduated from Hagerstown Business College and then went to work for Fairchild Aviation Cooperation in Hagerstown, MD. She later worked for Sears as a buyer and served as a shorthand specialist during WWII. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, B.E. Olsen of Pocomoke; a son Ken Olsen and his wife Joanie; three grandchildren, Dean and his wife Karen, Dawn and her husband Jimmy, and Darren all of Pocomoke and great grandchildren, Allen, Dean Jr. Cole Cassie, Landen, and Dylan. A chapel service will be at 1:00 pm, July 18, 2014 at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory Coastal Hospice, P.O.
