Rodney Jarvi II, 27, of Fruitland, MD passed away on June 13, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury he was the son of Rodney Earl Jarvi, Sr. and stepmother, Iris of Pickford, MI and his mother, Loretta Lynn Jarvi and stepfather, Bruce Merritt of Fruitland. He worked as a correctional officer at ECI. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents he is survived by three children, Rodney Earl Jarvi III, Jakob Thomas Jarvi all of Salisbury and Terryn Dean Jarvi of Petosky, MI; brother, Matthew Alan Jarvi of Salisbury; sister, Heather Marie Jarvi of Fruitland and three nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 1 pm at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. The Rev. Hancock will officiate. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Parsons Cemetery. A celebration of Rodney’s life will follow the burial and take place at the Rt. 50 American Legion.
