Joseph “Mark” Ennis, 51, of Parsonsburg, died on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born on May 25, 1963 in Salisbury he was the son of Mildred Ennis of Salisbury and the late Joseph Ennis. Mark was a 1981 graduate of Parkside High School where he played football and was in the band. He loved fishing, deer hunting, making wine, playing his guitar. He especially loved his bird “Obie”. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother, Ernie James Ennis. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Ennis of Parsonsburg; a daughter, Jessica Ennis; three step-children; Ashley Gillespie and her husband Casey, Michelle Hill and John Parsons; two grandchildren, Shawn Kelley-Hill and Zoey Gillespie. He is also survived by a brother, Mike Ennis and his wife Tammy of Parsonsburg; a sister, Joy Chestnutt and her husband Earl of Fruitland. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery in Parsonsburg. Memorial donations may be made to the Parsonsburg Fire Department, 33030 Old Ocean City Road, Parsonsburg, MD 21849.
