Emily Gilson Holland, 86, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Coastal Hospice At The Lake. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Edward M. Gilson and Emily Powell Gilson. She was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Salisbury. She worked for the Wicomico County Board of Education teaching at Bennett Jr. High and retired as business manager for Salisbury School. She is survived by 5 children, Ellen Whayland Dietz and her husband, Frank DeLizza of Salisbury, Linda H. Tamasi and her husband, Charles of Burke, VA, William S. Holland of Alpharetta, GA, Constance H. Holdridge and her husband, James of Lewes, DE and Dane T. Holland and his wife, Cindy of Newark, DE; and 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, W. Thomas Holland, Jr. in 1981. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with Rev. David Michaud officiating. There will be a visitation beginning at 1:30 pm.
