Marilyn Joan Bozick, 84, of Southern Maryland, passed away on April 17, 2014 in the loving presence of her husband, sister and children in Salisbury. Born in Queens, New York in 1929, she was the eldest of three daughters to the late Francis Paul and Lillian Reilly Scuderi. She was a devoted and loving wife for 65 years to former State Senator Peter A. Bozick. She was a wonderful mother of seven children, a grandmother to 25 children and a great grandmother to 12 children. She is survived by her sisters Dorothy Chiaramonte and Carol (George) Lodowski and numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn believed that God’s purpose for her life was to be a mother and raise good children. She leaves behind her married children , Marie (Phil) Fulton of LaGrange, Il; Peter (Chris) Bozick, Jr. of Salisbury; Claudia (Keith) Voigt of Ellicott City; Brian (Pam) Bozick of Waldorf; Anne (Mark) Dzurnak of Morgantown, WV; Daniel (Janet) Bozick of Boca Raton; and Joseph (Cheryl) Bozick of Salisbury. Marilyn was deeply spiritual and prayed the rosary with her friends every week. She was well known for her singing during a 30 year period where she performed at various Christian churches in Southern Maryland. She performed concerts at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. with Carey Landry, composer of contemporary catholic liturgical music. She was a talented artist and gifted athlete who played short stop for the semi-pro baseball team Long Island Jewels before her family moved to Maryland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 1 pm at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
