Betty Carey Roman 82 of Salisbury, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at her home. Born in Willards, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Willa Truitt Carey. Mrs. Roman was a member of Ayers United Methodist Church in Pittsville, Christ United Methodist Church in Salisbury and a charter member of the Pittsville Recreation Council. She is survived by her husband, of 64 years, Gilbert Roman; children: Rick & Lori Roman of Salisbury, Tom Roman of Gaithersburg and Amy & Jeff Kenny of Salisbury; grandchildren: Danny Kenny, Brie Roman and Brynn Roman; 6 nephews, 6 nieces, 5 great-nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers: William Carey, Claude Carey, Erwin Carey and Gene Carey. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
