Elmer Gill Lowe, Jr., 68, of Salisbury, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Elmer Gill Lowe, Sr. and Alberta Mae Settan Lowe. He served in the Maryland National Guard in the 1970’s and attended Salisbury Baptist Temple in Salisbury. He owned and operated his own carpet installation business, known as Lowe’s Carpet Service. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jackie Lynn Daugherty Lowe; 2 children, Michelle Lynn Plaskon and her husband, Greg and their daughter, Britney, all of Salisbury and Darren Gill Lowe of Walnut Cove, NC; 2 sisters, Gail Briddell of Princess Anne and Sherrie Harrison and her husband, Naylor of Salisbury; and 3 brothers, Chris Lowe and his wife, Debbie of Delmar, John Lowe of Houston, TX and Brian Lowe of Delmar. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
