Robert “Litebub” Kauffman, 86, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 surrounded by his family. Born December 14, 1926, he was the son of the late Raymond Kauffman and Helen Zeigler Dellinger.
He was a US Navy WWII veteran and retired from the Duro-Test Corporation in 1989. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and American Legion. “Litebub” was known to many and loved by all. He knew how to “light up” a room with his outgoing personality.
He is survived by 3 children, Judy K. Wilkerson of Salisbury, Bobbi J. Cooper and Bill West of Salisbury and Jeffrey R. Kauffman and wife, Robin of Ocean City; 2 grandchildren, Jason M. Cooper and Scott A. Wilkerson; 3 great grandchildren, Tradd, Julian and Gage; and 2 nephews, Dean Jenkins and wife, Joan of Ocean City and Ted Jenkins and wife, Pat of Myrtle Beach, SC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Winnie Kauffman in 2002.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Siloam Cemetery.
