Obituary for Margaret F Bunty – Born 21 January 1923 – Died 23 November, 2015 Margaret Bunty passed away peacefully this Monday am at Genesis Rehabilitation Center in Salisbury. She was 92 years old and a staunch Republican. She was born on January 21, 1923, to the late Rudolf Freyeisen and Wilma Terrill Freyeisen In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband Ralph J Bunty who died in 1982; her daughter Wilma Lewis who died in 2010. She was a long time resident of Wicomico County, having lived here since 1950. In her later years, she raised both cocker spaniels and goats and was affectionately known as the ‘Goat Lady’. During her teaching years, she took great pleasure in helping her students improve their reading skills. Mrs. Bunty was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Washington D.C in 1941 and a graduate of Strayer College in 1943. She received a BSEd degree from the University of MD in 1966 and a Masters Degree in Reading from the University of Rhode Island in 1972. She taught in both Sussex and Worcester Counties. She is survived by her younger sister, Dorothy Newcomer of Finksburg, MD, her son Dennis R Bunty of Lewes, DE, and her grandson, Kristopher C. Bunty of Lewes, DE.
