Beatrice Ward Dinges, 89, died peacefully at her Pocomoke City home with her family at her side on Saturday, November 7, 2015. Born October 1, 1926 in Pocomoke City, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Vesta Wessells Ward. She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Lee Dinges in 1994. She was a member of Goodwill Baptist Church, past president of the Pocomoke V.F.W. Post #8622 auxiliary, past member of American Legion Post #93 and an avid bingo player. She and her husband owned operated several service stations in the Pocomoke area over the years. She retired from the Rite Aid pharmacy in 2000. Mrs. Dinges is survived by two daughters, Patricia Steele and her husband Gary of Las Cruces, NM and Shirley Davis and her husband Bill of Snow Hill; one son, Vincent K. Dinges of Pocomoke City; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one grandson, Franklin J. Davis, one brother and one sister. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City, where family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to a Coastal Hospice, P.O.
